Week 47 in St. Thomas

Another week has flown by......started off Monday the regular way we usually do:  Pickle Ball with the Elders.  Elder Fineangonofo told us today that he really does like playing regardless of losing.  He is such a good sport and he and Elder Sigcha are just such dedicated missionaries.

After that, we headedover to Hassel Island to help paint at the Marshes new digs.  The Walches came too, and we had a great day working there together.

I really do love to paint.

Monday evening, we had Branch Family Home Evening.  We showed the Nativity video and talked about that, and talked about #lighttheworld and how we can get prompts to our phone each day.  Then we sang Christmas Songs and had treats.  We had a small but mighty group!

Love this picture of the Elders in this unique piece of furniture in the Easton's(a wonderful couple in our Branch)  new digs....
A few months ago, I happened to talk to a lady while floating around at the beach and asked her if she knew of any service opportunities on the island.  She told me that the Frenchtown Commuity Center(that is named after her late husband)  had been severely damaged in the hurricane and that there were some cupboards that could use some repairs.  That is not our forte, but the Walches who would be coming back to our branch in November maybe could help!  So that they did this past week!   WE appreciate their willingness to do whatever is needed here in St. Thomas.  So grateful to be their friends.

This is a mural that we found in Frenchtown. It is such a quaint little part of St. Thomas......

This is about the extent of our Christmas decorations in our apartment.  If any of you know me well, you know that I LOVE everything about Christmas and especially the decorating, baking, singing, gifting......everything!  So this Christmas will be a lot different for us.  It will be simple, but it will also be a great opportunity to focus on the reason we celebrate Christmas, and focus on Christ.  He is our Savior, Our Redeemer, Our
advocate, Our Older Brother, The Lamb of God, The Mighty Prince of Peace and so much more, and I am so thankful for Him.
Loved seeing this picture this week of our grandkids at the Oakland Temple.....
And this picture tickeled me.  Look at Tayleigh's face.  She was just enduring the Santa picture.....

That's a wrap for this week.  Thanks for all your support and prayers.  We are so blessed to be able to serve this mission at this time.  Stay strong and steadfast.
Love,
The Garrisons
