Week 38 in St. Thomas
This week was somewhat different than our ordinary weeks because Grant and Olivia and the kids came for a visit. It was wonderful to have them here with us! It is amazing how much the kids grow up in 9 months....Gordie is talking like a boss and has definitly developed his own BIG personality! Eliza has kind of mellowed a little bit and was happy to tool around in the pool all by herself and made friends with many of the kids at the place we were staying and Briggs can definitely take care of himself in most aspects of life. Currently he is focused on his 7th birthday party coming up in just a week! We swam in the pool a lot, kayaked, did the long board, went to four different beaches and ate some good food too! All in all it was a great week. I will post some of our favorite pictures from the week:
As you can see, we had lots of time in the sun. It was a beautiful week.
We took them to the airport on Saturday morning. They had a long trip ahead of them. So thankful that they came and visited......now back to the previously scheduled mission!
After we dropped them off, we headed to pick up the Elders to go to the church to watch the first session of General Conference. It was a wonderful session. So many memorable talks to study and revisit. At 5pm on Saturday, we attended Blake Pickett's baptism at Linquist Bay:
What a beautiful picture this was, with his brother and sister standing as witnesses.
We are so thankful for the gospel of Jesus Christ and for the brotherhood and sisterhood that it affords us no matter where we are in the world. We have so many blessings to be grateful for as a result of His teachings.
We enjoyed Sundays conference sessions too. When we first got to the church, the power was out! (Happens all the time....). Thankfully Alesha Easton had her Ipad, so for the first hour we watched it on the iPad and then the power came on and we had air conditioning and the internet, so we could watch it on the tv. So many great talks!!!

That's a wrap....hope you all had a good week too. Stay strong and steadfast! Thanks for your prayers, texts and Marco Polos!
