Week 3 in St. Kitts

Well, as of yet, we haven't played any pickle ball in St. Kitts. BUT, we have the luxury of living across the street from a beautiful golf course, and it is fairly flat, so we have taken advantage of that and have had some wonderful morning walks on most days.
As we go about our days (getting lost), we often see things along the way that are very interesting and entertaining. Below are two pictures of things that we saw one day as we tried to find an address that seemed impossible to get to!
We told our son Bob, that we have a new and exciting business idea for him. We loved seeing this brightly painted party bus! |
This is a picture of a beautiful fountain that is right in the heart of downtown Bassetere. Not sure that it is actually working right now, but it is really a beautiful piece of art.
In St. Kitts there has been a long line of Senior Couples serve. We went to Sweet Cane for lunch one day and the owner and one of the servers recognized our name tags and asked us if we knew a previous Senior Couple that served here. We told her that we did and they were so kind and friendly and told us how much they enjoyed that couple. They have certainly laid a good foundation for future missionaries and for that we are so thankful.
Usually once a week, we take a morning to do laundry, clean the house and check out a beach! This week we checked out Shipwreck Beach and it did not disappoint. The snorkeling was fantastic and there was a nice breeze too.....so restful for the soul.

This week is our oldest grandchild's 18th birthday. Talor is just such a great kid: he is smart, kind, dependable, funny and honors his priesthood and his parents. We are so proud of the man that he is becoming and are in awe of his many accomplishments. I don't know how we have a grandson this old???? But we are so blessed to call him ours. Happy Birthday Talor.
All in all we had a good 3rd week. Each week gets better as we meet more and more people and find our way around better. We know that the Lord is with us directing our paths and it is our hope and prayer that we can do what he would want us to do while we are here.
Hope you all had a good week too! Stay strong and steadfast.
Love,
The Garrisons
