Week 8 in St. Kitts

Is that not the most beautiful sunset????

We visited a wonderful family last week and talked about the Family Memories App with them.  When we were done I told them I wanted to take their picture but they wanted to wait until Sunday, so I got this adorable picture of them:

Don't you love the colorful prints?

Cutest kids ever on this island!
A random picture of us FaceTiming with Joye on Sunday evening.  Always a good time!
On the first Tuesday of each month we attend Branch Council. This is a meeting where all the leaders of the branch get together and discuss the needs and the direction of the Branch.  This week, one of the leaders asked the question "how has the Come Follow Me program benefited you or your family?"  (The Come Follow Me  program is the curriculum that the church is using to teach Sunday school.  It is broken down by the month and by the week and so all over the church we all study the same thing. )  As I sat there and listened to their responses, I was just overwhelmed with the devotion and the humility of these wonderful members here.
It just hit me with such force at how amazing it is that no matter where one goes in the world, all the members benefit from this program.  It made me be so thankful for the worldwide church and how individual members are so strong in their testimionies of Jesus Christ.

This is our Branch President and his wife and little boy.  It was great this week to have them over for dinner and to get to know them a little bit better.  They really are such an important part of the strength of the branch here in St. Kitts and we thank them for their devotion and service.

We visit a member here that is married to a man that was previsouly a professional cricket player.  It has been fun to get to know them.  We are trying to get them to play pickle ball with us!  I am sure that he has some skills!

This is so true.  Whenever we are feeling down or discouraged, if we just get out and do something for someone else, it lifts our spirits and we forget about ourselves.  Try it!

This is a picture of Elder Garrison's pants after we had been teaching at a friend's home.  He was dripping in sweat and had his arms resting on his leg and this is the result!  Hahahaha, we are so appreciative of central air in our apartment.....
Sorry that is on twice....can't seem to get it off!
Elder Garrison went on a hike to the Sofa Stone with the young adults in our branch on Saturday morning.  I stayed back becasue my darn achilles tendon is giving me some trouble again and I don't want to regress.  But he had a great time with them.  They left at 6:30 am! A great group of people and a doggie too

I have to post this adorable picture of Mike's boys!  Brings back the memories......

Well, that's our week at a glance.  The weeks are flying by.  We love you all and are so thankful for your support.  Have a great week and stay strong and steadfast!
Love,
The Garrisons
